What to bring:

You will need to bring your own towel and sleeping bag.  Your yacht will be comfortable and equipped with all necessary safety equipment.  For your comfort please bring sensible warm comfortable clothing.  It can get quite chilly, so make sure you bring some warm clothes.  Don’t forget to bring your RYA G15 /G158 Logbook.

For skiing, you will need your ski-wear.

What should I wear on board?

You should wear clothing that dries quickly and is comfortable (jeans are not ideal). Soft soled trainers, deck shoes or sailing boots should be worn when on board. It can get chilly out on the water.

In addition to your usual clothing we recommend packing:

  • Sleeping Bag & Towel
  • Sunglasses
  • Passport
  • Quick dry trousers for sailing (not jeans)
  • Sun Cream
  • Deck shoes/boots, or soft soled trainers
  • Beanie / Cap
  • Euros
  • Personal medications
  • Clothing for trips ashore

Please note that in the winter months it is likely to get cold when at sea especially at night, so ensure some warm clothes are packed.

Hard suitcases cannot be stored on board so please pack your clothes in a soft holdall.

Will I be sharing a cabin?

There is a possibility that cabins may be shared although we try to avoid this if possible, unless you want to of course! It is however part of the adventure of yachting!

Can I be contacted whilst sailing?

With most mobile phone plans offering roaming at no extra charge, it’s even easier to stay in touch.  Wifi can also be found in most marinas, restaurants and bars.

Are there toilet & showering facilities on board?

The yachts are equipped with a shower and a toilet. Overnight stops will be at marinas which provides these facilities ashore.

Do I need travel insurance?

We recommend that you take out a travel insurance policy that covers sailing and skiing.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Jolly Good!
