What are the options?

To experience this unique, bucket list event we're offering 2 options:

• Bareboat Yacht Charter
• Accommodation only

Both options give you the freedom and flexibility to arrive and leave on days of your choosing so you can pick the flights and transport that fit your plans.

Bareboat Yacht Charter:

Your adventure starts at Queensway Quay Marina in Gibraltar and can begin as early as Friday July 30^th 2027 from 6pm. You’ll be introduced to your sailing yacht and taken through a hand over process. What happen next is up to you!

On Saturday July 31^st you could sail to Ceuta, the famous and beautiful coastal town, on the north African coast. Ceuta is in North Africa meaning you’ll sail between continents in 2 to 4 hours and its past is a heady mix of Spanish, Portuguese, Moroccan and Moorish influences. You’ll be able to take your time exploring Ceuta, its history, architecture, beaches and spend the evening enjoying the local tapas and nightlife.

On Sunday one idea might be to return to the Bay of Gibraltar to prepare for the eclipse the following day or sail up the Costa del Sol. 

On Monday August 2^nd an option could be to head towards the Straits of Gibraltar to make sure you are in the ideal vantage point to witness the eclipse or stay on dry land to ensure photos without wobble!

The eclipse will begin around 09:40 with totality starting an hour later. The passage of the eclipse will take approximately 2 hours. Once the eclipse has finished you can head for other Spanish ports along the Costa del Sol or the bay of Gibraltar - you have the freedom to choose.

You'll be back in Queensway Quay Marina around lunchtime on Wednesday 4th when sadly, it will be time to disembark and head off.

Accommodation only:

With the accommodation only option you'll be staying onboard one of our yachts with other star gazers. 

This is an opportunity to explore Gibraltar or the local area and its amazing unique history.

The eclipse should be visible from Queensway Quay Marina or you could head for one of the beaches in Gibraltar or the neighbouring Spanish town of La Linea.

Choose a cabin if there are two of you or you or simply want more space and privacy.
