What to bring
Your training yacht will be comfortable and equipped with all necessary safety equipment, waterproofs, bedding and towels. For your comfort please bring sensible comfortable clothing. Hard suitcases cannot be stored on board so please pack your clothes in a soft holdall.
If attending a course in the winter months of November, December, January or February, be aware the temperature drops dramatically as soon as the sun goes down, so you may want to bring thermals or extra warm pyjamas, hat, socks to wear whilst you sleep at night.
During the warmer months (May - September), it's a good idea to bring mosquitto repellent / bite relief.
During the height of summer (June-August), a hat and suncream is essential as it's incredibly hot and shade can be hard to come by!
You should also bring a water bottle. This can be refilled from the tap water on the boat. As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce single use plastics, we do not provide bottled water onboard.
If completing RYA Day Skipper theory in our classroom, you will need to bring an electronic device.
