Come and sail with us in Sunny Gibraltar this winter

As the nights draw in and the weather turns cold and wet in the UK, it's worth considering alternatives for your RYA training and or mile building adventures.

Offering challenging tidal streams, busy international shipping lanes, voyages between continents and to foreign ports, Gibraltar is an obvious and appealing alternative.

With its Spanish, British and Moroccan influences, the sailing area offers students an excellent opportunity to practice both ‘Mediterranean’ stern-to mooring as well as traditional techniques coming alongside.

Here in the Western Mediterranean, the climate is relatively warm and sunny year round and 20C in the sunshine sure beats a cold, grey winter's day in the Solent.

With a wide variety of ports to choose from, there's no shortage of iconic landmarks to view or sail around. The famous Straits, the Pillars of Hercules and the surrounding ports of La Duquesa, Sotogrande, Estepona, Ceuta, Gibraltar, Tarifa and the Spanish and Moroccan Coast; all provide a unique backdrop to your RYA sailing course or Mile building week.

Based in British Gibraltar, Jolly Parrot Sailing is located in Queensway Quay Marina. The marina itself enjoys excellent facilities and shoreside amenities for those joining our boats here or staying with us for a theory course.
